When it comes to the shortest format of the games the West Indies team comes to mind as they are the defending champions of the shortest format and they had won the title for 2 times. They have taken the shortest format of the game to another level and the West Indies players are always a hot demand for franchise-based cricket. As the IPL Auction is near let’s look at some of the West Indies stars who can be bought by the franchises.

The top 3 batsmen of the West Indies team i.e. Lendl Simmons, Evin Lewis, Shimron Hetmyer all were released by their respective franchises for the IPL 2020 and by their performances in the recent series against India they surely have won the faith of many IPL Franchises management and thy will start a bidding war among the franchises. Along with these names, more West Indies batsman had showcased their ability in CPL, Abu Dhabi T10 League, MSL and for their national teams. Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis

Both the batsmen were released by Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2020 Auction and after that, in the T20I series, they showed that the franchise has done a big mistake by releasing them and now they will surely going to start a bidding war among the franchises on 19th December.

Shimron Hetmyer

The West Indies star was released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise ahead of IPL Auction as he was not that much effective in IPL 2019 for the team but now in the ongoing series against India, he helped his team to win 1st ODI with his knock of 139 (106) and every franchise will be on him in the upcoming Auction.

Shai Hope

The 26 years-old WK-Batsman of West Indies team is a new sensation in world cricket with his batting skills. He has now become a regular part of the West Indies team. Recently he along with Shimron Hetmyer helped his team to win 1st ODI against India. He can surely be a good pick for a franchisee who is looking for a destructive WK-Batsman.

Brandon King, Jonathan Carter, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Romario Shepherd and Rahkeem Cornwall are those other players who can be picked by the franchises in the Auction based on their recent performances.
