Glastonbury Music Festival’s 50th Anniversary happens to be in June 2020, for which they have a very popular debutant for the music festival that is none other than ‘Lover’ singer Taylor Swift, headlining the Pyramid Stage.
Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis said he was excited to welcome the singer to Worthy Farm next year. He said, "She's one of the biggest stars in the world and her songs are absolutely amazing. We're so delighted." Friday's main event is still to be uncovered however celebration coordinator Emily Eavis as of late said it would be a male craftsman, playing the celebration "for their first time".
On Sunday (Dec. 15), Swift shared the news that she'll be headlining the Glastonbury Music Festival, and on its 50th anniversary. Swift shared the news of her debut with an Instagram post where she posted a photo of her with the front page of the Glastonbury Free Press with her news plastered across it and she also shared her feelings with the caption, “ Verified I’m ecstatic to tell you that I’ll be headlining Glastonbury on its 50th anniversary - See you there! 💋”
She's set to commence her ‘Lover’ Fest visit on June 20 in Belgium, so it shows up she'll be making a northern temporary re-route to play the celebrated five-day fest, which will occur on June 24-28, 2020.
She's taking her show to celebrations around the globe, with an end goal to meet new and new spectators. "The Lover album is open fields, sunsets, and summer. I want to perform it in a way that feels authentic. I want to go to some places I haven't been and play festivals,” she wrote on social media.
It's been a massive week for Swift, who not only turned 30 on December 13, but was named Billboard's Woman of the Decade at the 2019 Women in Music Awards on December 12.
